Ford-Equator-1-1
An image of the upcoming Ford SUV with Mahindra, codenamed CX757, based on the new-gen 2021 Mahindra XUV500, has been leaked online. Back in 2019, Ford and Mahindra formed a joint venture in India under which future Ford products will share Mahindra underpinnings and will also be manufactured by Mahindra.
As evident from the leaked image, the spyshot showcases just the front grille of the SUV with the Ford logo at its centre. The front grille quite resembles the China-exclusive Ford Equator 7-seater SUV. The Ford C-SUV will go head to head against the likes of Tata Harrier, MG Hector, and Jeep Compass in the Indian market. The Ford C-SUV will be designed by Mahindra-owned Pininfarina, the iconic Italian design house.

Expect the SUV to feature a 2.0-litre and a 2.2-litre diesel engine from Mahindra, probably the new Mahindra Thar's mStallion and mHawk engines. This upcoming SUV will be revealed in 2021 and will also be exported to several markets.
